Business & Office
The blue KLM tableware is made of melamine formaldehyde and dates from the fifties. Kornelis Caps & Closures produced the serving pieces, of which the PolyPlasticum has two dies and working drawings in its possession.
Ink Sets
After WWII many office items were made of bakelite. Ink sets, pens, pen and pencil boxes: almost all had a nice design.
Hobby
The Italian accordion ‘Corelli’ in Art Deco style dates from before 1940. The body and keys are made of 1940 celluloid (pearlite). There are also pictures of a bakelite mini-organ and a pigeon clock.
Many musical instruments are now made with modern plastics. That is also true for knitting and crochet needles, and other hobby materials.
Rookwaren
‘beyond a joke’
When things are getting beyond a joke, up jumps a cigarette to smoke’.
